The University of Ljubljana, home to one of PERSIMMON’s key consortium partners, opened its doors to a prestigious gathering of academic leaders from across the Balkan region. The occasion provided a valuable opportunity to bring PERSIMMON’s vision personalized, sustainable, and biodegradable smart patches for decentralized personal health monitoring to the attention of a broad and influential academic community.
The presentation, delivered by Prof. Matej Supej and titled “Laboratory of Biomechanics – Brief Overview of Research Activities”, offered attendees an overview of the cutting-edge research conducted at the Faculty of Sport’s Biomechanics Laboratory, placing PERSIMMON within the wider context of the laboratory’s scientific agenda.
With 27 Deans representing universities and academic institutions from the Balkan countries in attendance, the event represented a significant moment of regional outreach for the project, extending awareness of PERSIMMON’s goals and achievements well beyond the boundaries of the core consortium countries.
