On September 27th, during the 2025 edition of the European Researchers’ Night at Valentino Park in Turin, the SMILIES research group from POLITO introduced the public to the PERSIMMON project – Personalized Sustainable Smart Patch Omnificence.
Throughout the evening, visitors of all ages explored the goals and early results of the project. The team showcased smart patches designed for real-time health monitoring, allowing attendees to interact directly with the technology and witness a live demonstration of physiological signal acquisition. Vital parameters were displayed on screen, illustrating how wearable AI-powered devices can support sustainable healthcare innovation.
The event highlighted PERSIMMON’s commitment to public engagement, transparency, and user-centered design, bridging the gap between research and society.
