12 – 13 March 2025

The PERSIMMON Month 6 General Assembly took place on the 12th and 13th March at TNO’s premises in Eindhoven (Holst Centre), Netherlands, bringing together all project partners to assess progress, discuss key technical developments, and define the next steps in the project’s ambitious roadmap.

During these two days, the consortium engaged in in-depth discussions on the opportunities and challenges related to the wearable health monitoring module under development. Key topics included:

  • Synchronization modes and device connectivity
  • The mobile app linked to the device and its user interaction
  • Development timelines and technological feasibility
  • Wearability in different environments, especially in running and swimming scenarios
  • The use of hydrogel vs. gallium-based micro-electrodes
  • Device performance in fresh vs. saltwater conditions

These discussions are instrumental in ensuring that PERSIMMON’s smart patches will be highly functional, energy-efficient, and adaptable to real-life applications in healthcare and sports monitoring.

Beyond the technical sessions, partners had the opportunity to visit the Philips Museum, gaining insights into the evolution of medical and consumer electronics—a fitting inspiration for the innovation PERSIMMON aims to achieve.

With a clear direction and reinforced collaboration among partners, PERSIMMON moves forward with confidence towards the next milestones. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue shaping the future of sustainable and intelligent wearable health monitoring.
